The policies and procedures have been approved by the Graduate Medical Education Council of Eastern Virginia Medical School for use by clinical program directors/chairs and all resident physicians/fellows and psychology interns.

Health Practitioners' Monitoring Program

The School of Health Professions has a contract with Virginia Commonwealth University Health System, EVMS Psychiatry, Division of Addiction Psychiatry, to provide confidential services for the health practitioner, who may be impaired by any physical or mental disability or who suffer from chemical dependency.

MPH Degree Information/Registration

Medical school provides skills and knowledge to diagnose and treat individual patients. The Master of Public Health degree supplements that medical education by providing physicians with skills in population-based research, design and evaluation of health promotion and disease prevention programs and management of the healthcare delivery system. The MPH program focuses on the diseases, health status and system of healthcare delivery for population groups.

Current and prospective students and employees can find books and supplies at EVMS Matthews Medical Bookstore located conveniently in Lewis Hall. The bookstore also carries EVMS apparel and gifts.
