Discretionary funding to support research and professional development will be provided up to $50k per year for each Junior Investigator.
Allowable expenses include: conference registration fees, lodging and per diem in alignment with government (GSA) rates, recharge and lab fees, Continuing Medical Education (CME), membership dues, research supplies, personnel (e.g., committed time of a Research Coordinator/Assistant), and IP filing costs.
Capital equipment purchases must be approved in advance by the Joint Research Operations Committee under the Joint Planning Commission. Upgrades in airfare, lodging, alcohol, unapproved meals, and other personal items are not allowable.
