Summer Program for Undergraduate Research (SPUR)

SPUR provides undergraduate students with an opportunity for an intensive research experience. The EVMS Biomedical Sciences programs will host SPUR from May through August. We will offer stipends of $2,500 each to top applicants for a 10-week, full-time research experience. Apply now.

Graduate Student Research Conference

The annual Graduate Student Research Conference showcases the basic sciences research performed by EVMS Biomedical Sciences graduate students. All faculty, staff and students - both from EVMS and throughout the Hampton Roads region - are invited to attend. EVMS students host the conference to generate interest and enthusiasm for biomedical sciences and technology, to foster a spirit of intercollegiate collaboration and to expose students to different fields, topics and industries that may be helpful in their professional development. 

Research Day

The purpose of Research Day is to enhance the awareness of the exciting and varied basic and applied research that is currently being conducted in the biomedical field within the EVMS community. This event gives young investigators the opportunity to exchange ideas and information with peers and colleagues in an informal, one-on-one format made available through a poster session. Outstanding abstracts are selected for both poster and oral presentations.
