Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship

Help patients overcome infertility and become a leader in basic and clinical research through the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship at the Shady Grove Fertility Jones Institute.

About SFG — Jones Institute

Effective June 30, 2021, the EVMS Jones Institute transitioned all patient care to our affiliated partner Shady Grove Fertility (SGF), a premier fertility center and home to over 85,000 SGF babies born across the country. SGF Jones Institute, the new name for the Jones Institute Reproductive Endocrine Clinical Practice, opened to patients on July 7, 2021 in the Jones location on the EVMS campus in Norfolk where the REI Fellowship resides.

Our prestigious past

Train at SGF Jones Institute, responsible for the first IVF baby in the United States and the first intracytoplasmic sperm injection research.

The late Drs. Howard and Georgeanna Jones, founders of the EVMS Jones Institute, integrated science and practice as an early example of translational research. This tradition has continued since our fellowship was established in 1981.

What sets us apart?

Our fellows benefit from balanced practice in clinical care and research. Gain expertise in treating infertility through assisted reproduction and master the surgical techniques needed to address disorders of the reproductive tract.

Complement your training and advance patient care in our active research programs. As an investigator, you’ll study the endometrium, implantation, oocyte maturation and oocyte donation, male infertility and more. Fellows work one-on-one with experienced faculty and can take advantage of the vast resources available for training.
