Why I Chose EVMS Plastic Surgery: The training experience, people, and location made EVMS the most attractive program for me. Residing in a metropolitan area of 1.7 million people, its high-volume level 1 trauma center has great exposure to penetrating trauma injuries, and importantly, has faculty who perform niche nerve surgery procedures including reconstruction and migraine surgery. The culture of Hampton Roads is also wonderful, boasting relaxing tourist-quality beach visits with surfing only 20 minutes, and plenty of seafood and international cuisine. I also knew that the cohort of residents and faculty was friendly, enjoyed teaching, and open to feedback, which is the training environment that I wanted for a 6-year residency. The growth of the program is exciting and although rapidly growing, has started off with very nice individuals whose cohort of residents and faculty is also incredible.

Hobbies & Interests:  You can find me outdoors, learning to surf, hiking, or exploring some of the local diners and coffee shops. I love to cook and am working on learning a recipe from each country.
