Why I Chose EVMS Plastic Surgery: I attended EVMS’s ACAPS Meet & Greet last fall, and immediately I was impressed by the case volume, training curriculum, and clinical exposure ranging from an excellent trauma center to the robust pediatrics experience at CHKD. But beyond that, I could sense the residents’ enthusiasm when discussing their operative experience and could see firsthand the camaraderie within the program. I immediately reached out to arrange a visiting sub-internship and in hindsight, this was the best decision I could have made—I had some of my most formative hands-on learning experiences both in the OR and on call that month, and I felt truly welcomed and included by the EVMS residents and faculty. I’m so excited to be returning as a Plastic Surgery resident at EVMS!
Hobbies & Interest: in my free time I love cooking (and eating) with family and friends, weightlifting, swimming, and crossword puzzling. I’m looking forward to trying out local restaurants, trivia spots, and beaches on my days off!
