Yes, we invite all members of the medical community to attend grand rounds. Medical students are encouraged to attend as well.

Yes. We often work with various medical societies, associations and organizations to offer our meeting planning services and CME credit.

Conference costs are dependent on the location, number of days, expected number of attendees and guest faculty. Please contact the director of CME by email at cme@evms.edu or by phone at 757.446.6140 to receive an estimate.

You will typically receive a certificate within 2 weeks. However, it will also be in our database and can be accessed online at any time.

No, EVMS CME does not provide certificates for regularly scheduled activities, but your credit can be accessed online at any time.

Transcripts are available at no charge and can be obtained online. Enter your personal information and the date range for which you need to view credit. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader (a free PDF reader installed on most computers already) to view your transcript. If you do not have this application, you can download it here.

The most common reason: EVMS CME does not have your personal information recorded correctly in our database. Please contact us by email at cme@evms.edu or by phone at 757.446.6140, and we will be glad to update our system.

If you have a discrepancy, please contact us by email at cme@evms.edu or by phone at 757.446.6140 and we will assist you in correcting your transcript. Here are some things to keep in mind to avoid discrepancies:

  • When signing in as "Other," please be sure to add your credentials so EVMS CME knows to give you the proper credit.
  • When signing in, please be sure that your signature is clearly legible and includes your credentials. Illegible signatures without credentials are difficult for our staff to award credit. Your credentials allow us to assign appropriate credit.
  • If you spoke at an activity, we are unable to award your credit. You can, however, earn double credit by applying directly to the AMA.
  • If you attended a conference, please be sure you have turned in the evaluation sheet marking the sessions you attended.

We no longer have a mailing list; however, you can check our calendar as it is updated daily with our educational activities.
