An introductory 'how-to' on substance use and substance use treatment using a VA stepped care model.
Objectives:
1. Describe a stepped care approach to understand the differences on intensity and complexity of substance treatment at various stages of patient engagement.
2. Identify strategies to decrease or stop the drinking or using for levels 1 and 2 on the stepped care model.
