Jennifer Ryal, MD
Dr. Jennifer Ryal is the Associate Chair for Clinical Operations in the Department of Internal Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School.
Dr. Ryal graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, then completed a Combined Family Medicine/Internal Medicine at EVMS before joining the Department of Internal Medicine.
She was the lead physician for the Patient Center Medical Home practice transformation project in the EVMS Primary Care Internal Medicine office, where she is the Medical Director.
Dr. Ryal was the co-investigator of a five-year, $1.75 million HRSA grant focused on developing a quality care network of regional safety-net clinics. This grant allowed her to develop a student-run interprofessional clinic at the Sentara Ambulatory Care Clinic, which assesses social determinants of health and connects participants to community resources.
Her most recent projects include evaluating the care of patients after they are discharged from the hospital and a quality improvement project to increase the number of Medicare beneficiaries that receive an annual wellness visit.View Bio View CV
