Why I Chose EVMS: EVMS EM had everything I was looking for in a program, a busy level 1 trauma center with fellowship opportunities, the ability to serve an underserved population, and exposure to the big three settings of emergency medicine; academic, rural, and urban. During the interview social and interview itself I connected well with the residents and faculty and loved the culture and the family vibe. My fianceé loved the psychiatry program and what it offered so it was a dream come true for both of us to be able to couples match into our #1.
