Hometown:  Virginia Beach, VA

Medical School: EVMS

Undergraduate:  Old Dominion University Norfolk, VA

Why I Chose EVMS: This program has a long tradition of giving each of its graduates a strong foundation of both medical knowledge and operative skills, which prepares them extremely well for whatever branch of surgery they decide to pursue. It was important to me to train at a program like this that would set me up for success. There is also a very robust critical care component to this program, which I’m interested in. Plus, I am a lifelong resident of Hampton Roads, and it would be hard to turn down the opportunity to serve the community that I’ve called home for so long.

Hobbies & Interests: I love the Philadelphia Eagles (Go Birds!). I like to spend my time outside the hospital reading (historical fiction, sci-fi, mysteries) and playing video games (Destiny, Elden Ring, Halo, Titanfall).

I’m a huge Nicolas Cage fan, and my all-time favorite movie is National Treasure. Some of my other favorites include The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, Bringing Out the Dead, Willy’s Wonderland, and Lord of War.
