Why I Chose EVMS: Culture among the residents, high clinical volume and exposure, flexibility for research, and history of successful fellowship match. I believe that EVMS will make me a competent General Surgeon regardless of subspecialty training I may choose to pursue. I also wanted to stay on the East Coast and near the water, so Norfolk is the perfect place for me!
Interesting fact: I am an avid reader of epic fantasy and my favorite series is the Wheel of Time (and I’ll be the first to tell you that the Amazon show doesn’t come close to doing it justice.)
