More than 30 alumni, current fellows, and residents gathered to celebrate the program’s legacy, milestones, and its continued commitment to shaping the future of vascular surgery.

Hosted by current Program Director Dr. Hosam El Sayed, the event featured a heartfelt visit from Ms. Bonnie Martinette Wheeler, spouse of the late Dr. Jock Wheeler, who co-founded the fellowship program in 1975 and served as its inaugural director. Attendees also enjoyed a special video message from Dr. Roger Gregory, the fellowship’s other founder, reflecting on the history and evolution of the program.People around a banquet table

Founded as one of the first 20 vascular surgery fellowships in the nation, the EVMS program has remained at the forefront of training, innovation, and patient care. The anniversary celebration brought together generations of vascular surgeons, marking a moment where the past, present, and future of the specialty converged.

A special message from Roger Gregory, MD to celebration attendees.
