Why EVMS? My wife and I couples-matched to EVMS for several reasons: It was one of the few places that we felt like both of our programs provided a strong learning experience with personable attendings and other residents. We also liked the community outside the hospital and could imagine ourselves living in the area.
Special areas of interest/future goals: I have clinical and research interests in diabetes, obesity and metabolic syndrome. I am also interested in teaching. My future goals in family medicine are to go into obesity medicine and/or academic medicine.
