Use of Controlled Substances in Animal Research
Division of Comparative Medicine (CompMed) - Responsible for managing the EVMS vivarium in close collaboration with the Attending Veterinarian and the IACUC. CompMed can also provide special services and assistance during animal procedures.
Veterinary Care - EVMS has given the veterinarian appropriate authority to execute a program of adequate veterinary care, including access to all animals.
Reporting Animal Mistreatments or Noncompliance - EVMS strives to maintain the highest standards for animal welfare, and is committed to meeting and surpassing all applicable government guidelines and regulations for animal care and use.
