EVMS Faculty Offering Research Opportunities for Students
Many EVMS Faculty Members offer long and short term opportunities to students in all programs. Students should contact the faculty member directly. Find a list of participating faculty members at Researchers.evms.edu.
Community Faculty Designated Student/Resident Research Travel Award
This award recognizes and promotes scholarly activity by trainees in the EVMS medical student and health professions classes and residency programs. The travel award was founded and originated from a generous gift by EVMS-affiliated community physicians.

Clinical opportunities
As an EVMS student, you can only participate in clinical opportunities if an EVMS faculty/community faculty member is present. Since no credit is being offered for the clinic experience, you are not covered by EVMS malpractice insurance.
You may be able to shadow the doctor and provide patient education only. If you are interested in this type of experience you are encouraged to find out which doctors work there and what you are able to do to help.
