Brian R. Budenholzer, MD
Brian Budenholzer joined EVMS in 2014 after practicing family medicine at the Brody School of Medicine East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. He has earned the rank of Associate Professor at EVMS Portsmouth Family Medicine and serves as the Obstetrics Director for the Department of EVMS Family and Community Medicine.
His clinical interests encompass all of family medicine from prenatal care to geriatrics. Dr. Budenholzer practices “evidence-based medicine” – using the best evidence in making decisions about individual patients. He embodies the motto “The secret of the care of the patient is in caring for the patient”. He believes that combining the best evidence based care and a deep understanding of his patients is the only way to, as he puts it “keeping healthy people healthy”.
Dr. Budenholzer is married with two daughters and proud grandfather of 2 grandchildren. He enjoys the theatre, podcasts and the beach.View Bio View CV
