The fellow will participate in the following rotations:

Off-service rotations (2-3 months)

Intensive Care Unit: Hands on experience in the medical ICU with critically ill patients (1 month)

Antepartum: Manage the Antepartum unit along with supervising faculty (One-two months)

On-service rotations (9-10 months)

Labor and delivery

  • Two 12-hour shifts weekly and one 12 hours night shift bi-weekly, enabling up to two additional opportunities for moonlighting night shifts.
  • One OR day shift weekly
  • One 12-hour day shift bi-weekly with anesthesia MD
  • One 12-hour day shift bi-weekly with Gyn/MIGS OR teams
  • One day weekly in attendance at ultrasound and/or MFM clinic

Gynecology Inpatient: Consult/service coverage while on L&D

Anesthesia

  • Included with L&D rotations
  • Fellow serves as anesthesia consult liaison 

Certifications

Fellows will have the opportunity to acquire the following certifications during their training: 

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Fetal Monitoring
  • NRP
  • POCUS

Quality Improvement/Research: 

The fellow is expected to participate in quality improvement meetings and design a QI project during their program.
