The fellow will participate in the following rotations:
Off-service rotations (2-3 months)
Intensive Care Unit: Hands on experience in the medical ICU with critically ill patients (1 month)
Antepartum: Manage the Antepartum unit along with supervising faculty (One-two months)
On-service rotations (9-10 months)
Labor and delivery
- Two 12-hour shifts weekly and one 12 hours night shift bi-weekly, enabling up to two additional opportunities for moonlighting night shifts.
- One OR day shift weekly
- One 12-hour day shift bi-weekly with anesthesia MD
- One 12-hour day shift bi-weekly with Gyn/MIGS OR teams
- One day weekly in attendance at ultrasound and/or MFM clinic
Gynecology Inpatient: Consult/service coverage while on L&D
Anesthesia
- Included with L&D rotations
- Fellow serves as anesthesia consult liaison
Certifications
Fellows will have the opportunity to acquire the following certifications during their training:
- BLS
- ACLS
- Fetal Monitoring
- NRP
- POCUS
Quality Improvement/Research:
The fellow is expected to participate in quality improvement meetings and design a QI project during their program.
