Unsightly scars resulting from previous trauma or surgery can have significant emotional and physical affects. There are a variety of non-surgical and surgical options for treating scars depending on the location, size and duration of the scar.

Some non-surgical options include treatments with steroids, both topical and injections. Other scars may be treated with lasers or dermabrasion to resurface the area. Some scars will require surgical revision which will vary depending on the size and location of the scar.

Keloid scars can be especially difficult to treat and often require close follow-up with steroid injections after the initial surgery to remove the scar. We are able to successfully treat keloid scars and avoid recurrence of the scar.
