Why I chose EVMS: I chose EVMS because of the excellent leadership and opportunities to pursue a career in Acute Care Surgery/Trauma. During the interview trail, I had a good gut feeling that this program aligned well with my career goals. The faculty is invested in the residents and helping them achieve success and excellence in surgical training. Speaking to past residents and looking back at previous fellow matches, I saw how competitive the residents that graduated from this program were, with many of them matching in their top choices for fellowship. So far, I have thoroughly enjoyed my training and am continuing forward with my dream to be an acute care/trauma surgeon.
Hobbies: I enjoy watching and playing basketball with my free time. I am a diehard Laker fan (Kobe is the GOAT). My other hobbies include hip hop dance and playing video games with my friends.
Interesting fact: I was a member of Apocalypse Dance Crew in undergrad and we had an undefeated streak my first year on the team and even opened for the Jabbawockees
