Health outcomes vary dramatically across communities, often driven by socioeconomic factors such as income, education, and access to resources. Research shows that individuals in lower socioeconomic groups can experience up to 12 years shorter life expectancy than those in higher-income groups—even in settings with universal healthcare.
With funding from Sentara Cares, this dynamic tool was created to support policymakers, researchers, and community organizations to develop data-driven solutions to address health inequities. By identifying priority areas, the dashboard aims to support targeted interventions and improve community health.
