Brant M. Cox, MBA, is Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of EVMS. Mr. Cox previously served as Chief of Staff at EVMS and continues to maintain those duties in support of the Office of the President, Provost and Dean, School of Medicine. Additionally, he has direct oversight of the Offices of Strategic Planning and Institutional Effectiveness, Marketing and Communications, and Special Events.
Mr. Cox is a veteran member of the institution's leadership. For nearly 14 years, he worked with EVMS Obstetrics and Gynecology, serving in a variety of positions including Vice Chair of Administration.
Immediately prior to his appointment as Chief of Staff, Mr. Cox worked at Virginia Tech as Director of Business Planning and Development. His previous professional experience also includes positions at Amerigroup Corporation and other health-care companies.
Mr. Cox holds an MBA from Old Dominion University.
