Emergency Senior Advisory Group

EVMS' senior management receive responsibility for making administrative decisions regarding canceling classes, evacuations, closing the campus and other decisions as dictated by the situation. The President or designee authorizes the evacuation or shutdown of the school as needed to include notification of faculty, staff, students and the EVMS Medical Group.

The following senior management comprises:

  • President, Provost and Dean
  • Vice President for Administration and Finance
  • Vice President of Operations and Chief of Staff

Emergency Response Group

The Vice President of Administration and Finance leads the response actions necessary to control the emergency or disaster. This will consist of collecting and evaluating information from emergency responders and EVMS departments while coordinating with support agencies, local officials, and other tenants of the EVMS, Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, City of Norfolk Public Health and private business.
