Summer Scholars 800x533

Over the past 10 weeks, more than three-dozen students spent their time working with EVMS research faculty as part of several summer research programs on campus. Last week, they presented the results of their hard work.

Each student was required to complete a research project and present their outcomes to the EVMS scientific community. This year’s topics covered a variety of subjects from behavioral research to basic science. The students will be listed as co-investigators on their projects, which are frequently published and presented on the national level.

The research programs included EVMS Summer Scholars, Summer Program for Undergraduate Research and 2016 SC-BI Fellowship Program.

The competitive programs are open to college seniors (rising or graduating) and first- or second-year graduate or medical students who are exploring potential careers in medical, biomedical, public health, or behavioral research.
