Academic degrees are formally conferred and a symbolic diploma is presented to degree candidates during EVMS Commencement Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 10 a.m. EDT at Norfolk Scope, 201 E. Brambleton Avenue. The ceremony typically lasts two to three hours and will honor the graduating class of 2024.
For those who cannot attend in-person, the ceremony will be streamed live on the EVMS.edu homepage as well as the Commencement website.
Doors open for general admission at 8:45 a.m. and the ceremony begins promptly at 10 a.m. Please arrive early to complete all safety and public health requirements upon entry. All guests will be subject to physical and visual inspections, bag checks and/or wanding which will delay entry.
Limited parking is available in the underground garage below Norfolk Scope or in the Brambleton lot across St. Paul’s Blvd. Parking is a flat fee (cash only) in both locations. The City of Norfolk provides additional parking options near Norfolk Scope. View parking options and fees here.
While the Commencement Ceremony does not have a guest limit or require tickets, family and friends must register in advance to attend. Registration for ancillary events such as program receptions, White Coat ceremonies and other celebrations will require registration only by graduates who will indicate their guest counts at that time.
