A Message from the Program Director

Amin Yehya, MDDear Future Cardiology Fellows,

It is with great excitement and pride that I welcome you to our newly established Cardiology Fellowship Program at Eastern Virginia Medical School at Old Dominion University. This program has been in the making for a long time, and its launch marks a significant milestone not only for our institution but for the region we serve. We are thrilled to begin this journey and to welcome our inaugural class of fellows, our future leaders in cardiology.

Our fellowship is built on a foundation of clinical excellence, academic rigor, and a deep commitment to patient care. Fellows will be immersed in a comprehensive training experience that offers exposure to the full spectrum of cardiovascular medicine, including cutting-edge therapies and evolving technologies that are shaping the future of our field.

We are fortunate to have a dedicated and enthusiastic faculty who are passionate about teaching, mentoring, and advancing the science and practice of cardiology. Our fellows will be actively involved in clinical research and scholarly work, with ample opportunities to contribute to ongoing studies and initiate their own projects under expert guidance.

Equally important is the supportive and collegial environment we foster. We believe that a welcoming, inclusive culture is essential to the growth and well-being of our trainees. Here, you will find a place that values collaboration, encourages curiosity, and champions professional development.

Our mission is to train not only outstanding clinicians but also future academicians who will contribute meaningfully to education, innovation, and leadership in cardiology. Through this fellowship, we aim to make a lasting impact on cardiovascular health in our community and beyond.

We are honored to be among the programs you are considering as you take this next step. The future of cardiovascular medicine is promising, and we would be privileged to contribute to your growth.
