Kelly Thomson, MD, is an Assistant Professor and Attending Physician in the Hospitalists Program at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University. With over a decade of experience practicing medicine, Dr. Thomson is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to patients and mentoring the next generation of medical professionals.
Dr. Thomson earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of the West Indies in 2017. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital in 2021, followed by a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at the same institution in 2022.
Board-certified in both Hospice and Palliative Medicine and Internal Medicine, Dr. Thomson brings a wealth of knowledge and compassionate care to her patients. Her clinical interests include inpatient care, symptom management, and improving the quality of life for patients with serious illnesses.
Dr. Thomson’s commitment to excellence in patient care and medical education makes her a valuable asset to the EVMS community.
