Dr. Byars has worked for Emergency Physician's of Tidewater (EPT) and Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) for over 15 years.  Dr. Byars completed his Emergency Medicine residency training at EVMS in 2002.  Currently, Dr. Byars is the Program Director for our Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Fellowship and Emergency Medical Services Fellowship.  Dr. Byars is a U.S. Army Veteran, is married with 3 beautiful children and three dogs.  His personal interests include; weight lifting, cycling, reading and spending time with his family.
