Special Events Task Force

The Special Events Task Force is an interdepartmental work group that meets monthly to address issues pertaining to the planning and implementation of successful special events on campus – whether a meeting, academic activity or social function. We help improve workflow, communications and processes between planners and supporting departments to ensure favorable event outcomes.
Task Force Members include representatives from the following departments: Special Events, Media Services, Police & Public Safety, Emergency Management & Fire Safety, Housekeeping, Parking, Facilities & Maintenance, Materials Management and Student Affairs.
Campus event planners are strongly encouraged to attend Special Events Task Force meetings to communicate their event details and service needs directly to the departments involved. These meetings offer a valuable opportunity for face-to-face dialogue with representatives from all supporting service departments, helping to ensure thorough coordination and favorable outcomes for campus events.
