Policy
When a patient is deceased, medical records can be released to the following individuals in the priority of their listing where the health care provider is not aware of a higher class:
- executor or personal representative of the deceased;
- spouse;
- adult son or daughter;
- either parent;
- adult brother or sister; any other relative in descending order of relationship.
