Jerome S. Blackman, MD, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry will present "Defense Interpretation that Leads to Clarification of the Medical Diagnosis."

TARGET AUDIENCE:
Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Students, Primary Care Providers, and Healthcare Professionals.

OBJECTIVES:
Following this presentation, participants will be able to:
1. Identify defensive operations that guard against guilt, shame, and emotional pain.
2. Interpret the defenses to patients in such a way that mysterious medical diagnoses become apparent.
