Judith completed graduate work in adult education at King’s College, University of London and worked in the British National Health Service on educational initiatives before moving to the United States. She has 14 years of experience as a principal investigator and co-investigator on grant-funded research projects including those focused on education. Judith lead the United States-based office of the National Respiratory Training Center, where she was instrumental in upgrading curricula to meet the changing needs of the healthcare workforce and expanding delivery options through distance education. In her current role at EVMS, Judith concentrates her efforts on initiatives to support faculty to help them achieve their career goals. Alongside Dr. Mylona, she is developing longitudinal programs such as the Academy of Educators. Judith is supporting regional and national initiatives related to the current and future role of the medical educator. She is active with the EVMS Women in Medicine and Science initiative. As a member of the EVMS Faculty Achievement and Award Committee, Judith also assists in nominating faculty for local, regional and nation awards. She has been a member of various committees at the National Institutes of Health and is currently a member of the AAMC Group on Faculty Affairs and AAMC Group on Educational Affairs.
