This year, EVMS marks a major milestone, the institution's 50th anniversary. As part of the effort to celebrate – students, staff, residents, faculty, community faculty and alumni are encouraged to spend the next year serving the communities that worked so hard to build and sustain EVMS.

Volunteer in your community or choose from a list of volunteer events on our 50 years of service website. Then, log your hours on the Give Pulse platform. All EVMS employees can log into Give Pulse with their EVMS credentials, but signing into the site isn’t required to log your hours. If you know someone in the community who would like to volunteer in honor of EVMS, they can also log their hours on the site.

If you would like to add an opportunity to the 50 years of service website for others to participate, email news@evms.edu and we will evaluate that event for inclusion.

"We often hear that people are drawn to EVMS because they are passionate about giving back and they know that service is a priority for this institution," says Dr. Alfred Abuhamad, President, Provost and Dean of the School of Medicine. "Help us move that passion forward by beginning our next 50 years with the biggest impact yet. We look forward to joining forces with all of you to improve the health of our community.
