The new accessibility standard

EVMS adopted the Digital Accessibility Policy to ensure equal access to electronic information for everyone. The policy establishes level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 as the standard for ensuring all digital content is accessible to people with diverse abilities.

The policy's standard applies to:
  • EVMS Websites: All EVMS-owned and managed websites and microsites, web applications and social media channels, including those procured from a vendor.
  • Digital documents (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, PDF etc.) posted online or shared via electronic communications.
