Clinical Trials Experience
The Clinical Research Center has performed more than 300 clinical trials, for a total of more than 10,000 volunteers enrolled in our studies. We have worked with over 60 different government and pharmaceutical-industry sponsors, primarily in the areas of contraception, menopause, and fibroids, but including other health areas as well. We have experience in every level of clinical trial from Phase 1 to Phase 4 and after-market as well.
The CRC has been involved in studies of both male and female reproductive health. Since our inception, we have been involved in testing every contraceptive method on the U.S. market as well as some not yet available. These include oral, transdermal, vaginal, injectable biodegradable and non-biodegradable and implantable contraceptive methods. Additionally our director, Dr. Andrea R. Thurman, is a board certified obstetrician gynecologist. Dr. Thurman's vast expertise includes over 14 years of experience in women's health research, focusing on the prevention of unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections.
In the area of menopausal medicine, we have conducted trials on virtually every type of delivery method as well, including pills, creams, transdermal patches and sprays and vaginal ring delivery.
