Tools that look deep inside a living brain

CINID researchers work to develop improved engineering and technology methods to better evaluate and manipulate biological systems. Researchers are working to create sensors and instrumentation that will allow scientific breakthroughs in neuroscience and other fields. Projects include developing technology to allow imaging deep within a living brain, and using telemetry to remotely record vast amounts of neural data.

The technology that CINID is developing will help reveal how individual cells and complex neural networks work together, both during brief interactions, over long spans of time and across regions within the brain.
