Read the New Eastern Virginia Medical Journal

The first edition of Eastern Virginia Medical Journal, an online journal published by Graduate Medical Education, is now available on Digital Commons.

“The journal was originally conceived to disseminate results from the excellent research and quality improvement projects being done by our trainees, faculty and staff,” said Sean Hesselbacher, MD, editor-in-chief of the journal and assistant professor of Medicine. “Now, following a pandemic and the integration with Old Dominion University, it has become so much more.”

Dr. Hesselbacher says the publication aims to engage medical scientists, practitioners, educators and students and hopes to publish work in all of these areas. Read the first issue and submit article ideas.
