Scholarship helps Kenita Jackson fulfill her dreams
Less than two miles away from EVMS, Kenita Jackson grew up in another world, in Norfolk's subsidized housing. She knew that education was her path to a better life. She started at Tidewater Community College and was encouraged to keep going. She went on to Old Dominion University and majored in biology. And finally, she was accepted into the Master of Surgical Assisting program at EVMS.
