2022-2023 Pediatric Application Update:

To stay true to our program’s dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion and national recommendations regarding virtual interviews, all of our interview days this year will be virtual, conducted via Zoom with some written and video materials to be reviewed ahead of the interview day. We're proud of our program, and hope we'll get the chance to show you why. We are engaged in the process of reimagining your interview day that will highlight our program and residents. This year ERAS does not open until September 28th and we do not anticipate completing the review of all our applications before mid-October.

Graduates of medical schools in the United States and other countries are welcome to apply. Our diversity is a strength. We are committed to recruiting accomplished residents from all parts of the country and beyond. We review all of the applications we receive, searching specifically for candidates whose values and goals align with our mission. We don't use USMLE cut scores for screening. We do not require USMLE Step 2 scores for our review and we understand that you may have not completed your pediatric courses or undertaken visiting rotations. Letters of recommendation should come from faculty that know you best not necessarily pediatric faculty.

Your interview day will include interviews with faculty, program leadership, and residents as well as several informational sessions.  Frequent breaks will be included in your schedule. Happy Hours and Diversity Happy Hours will be hosted by residents to ask questions and speak in a casual setting.

We will provide some material ahead of time and ask that you review it before the interview day. A video tour, information about the people you will meet on the interview day, and information about the technical aspects of the Zoom sessions.

We will ask applicants to use computer tablets, portable computers or desktop computers for the virtual sessions and not smart phones, since it will be important to have a reasonable screen size for the group sessions to see the other participants.

Interview invitations are sent through ERAS, and we also schedule interviews through the ERAS system.

Interview dates, Virtual Happy Hours, and Diversity Happy Hours for self-identifying URM are from mid-October to mid-January.

International Applicants: 

We welcome all outstanding international medical graduates to apply, all applications must be received through ERAS.
We are able to sponsor both H1b and J1 visas under the current US immigration policies. An H1b visa requires that applicant successfully complete USMLE Step 3. We require that the Step 3 examination be completed by January 18, 2023 for us to obtain an H1b visa. International applicants should be ECFMG certified by October 31, 2022 to be considered for an interview.
