Summer Scholars present their research
Story Date: Fri, 29 Jul 2016 10:23:00 EDT
This summer, more than two dozen students spent their time working with the EVMS Pediatrics Department at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters as part of the Summer Scholars Program. Their time culminated with a presentation of their hard work.
Each student was required to complete a research project from start to finish and present their outcomes to the scientific community. This year’s topics covered a variety of areas from behavioral research to basic science. The students will be listed as co-investigators on their projects which are frequently published and presented on the national level.
The competitive 11-week program is open to college seniors (rising or graduating) and first- or second-year graduate or medical students who are exploring potential careers in medical, biomedical, public health, or behavioral research.
