Addressing Child and Family Mental Health Needs, including Military and Veteran Populations
The theme of the 2019 Joint Mental Health Summit, set for Tuesday, May 7, is “Addressing Child and Family Mental Health Needs, Including Military and Veteran Populations.” The M. Foscue Brock Institute for Community and Global Health at EVMS and EVMS Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences will join forces with Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters and Hampton VA Medical Center to present the day-long event. W. Aaron Adams, MD, Pediatrician and Battalion Surgeon with Thomas Moore Health Clinic in Fort Hood, Texas, will make the keynote presentations. CHKD experts will present a case study and discuss “Local Evidence-Based Mental Health Treatment Modalities for Children and Families.” Four working-group breakout sessions are also on the agenda. The summit will take place in Lester Hall, room 135, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Register by April 26.
