Why I chose EVMS: I chose EVMS Emergency Medicine, not only because it's close to family, but because it offered everything I valued in a residency program: great people, a variety of training sites, and EMS opportunities. The faculty and residents embrace you as one of their own and are approachable and down-to-earth. The exposure to a combination of academic, community, and rural sites made me confident that I would receive well-rounded training. Plus, I loved the flexibility within the program to explore your niche within EM.
