Power partnership

This fellowship is a collaboration between EVMS and Emergency Physicians of Tidewater (EPT) – one of the largest emergency medicine physician practices in Virginia.

Fellows are full-time EVMS students and employees of EPT, and receive a generous annual stipend with opportunities for immediate hire after completing the program.

Why emergency medicine?

Experience the satisfaction of saving lives and make a direct impact
on patients.

Learn the ins and outs of trauma surgery, critical care, pediatric emergency medicine and more.

Think on your feet and face a broad range of new challenges everyday.

Dynamic learning environment

Fellows train at eight different emergency departments. Rotations in a Level I trauma center, in a pediatric hospital and in urban and community settings provide exposure to different patient populations and practices.

Fellows also participate in an emergency ultrasound course and multiple simulation exercises.

Medical professionals and students work together to treat a patient.
