I have nothing but great things to say about the Master's of Medical and Health Professions Education program at Eastern Virginia Medical School. From my first communication with them, they were friendly, responsive, and helpful. The faculty are energetic, approachable, and incredibly engaged with their students. They respond to my questions promptly, yet with thoughtful answers. The teaching techniques they apply are creative and innovative, teaching not only through showing but also by example. Though our class makeup is diverse in age, geography, and medical background, the teachers are able to integrate the material to apply to every level of educator. From day one, I have been able to apply the material that I have learned effectively and seamlessly, to improve my teaching and educating. I would recommend this program wholeheartedly to anyone interested in being a better educator and helping to educate others to do so as well.

Investing in the EVMS MHPE program was one of the best decisions of my life! As a full-time educator in medical simulation, I found the load ideally suited to my time constraints. Each course builds on the previous ones, and the material in each course was immediately applicable to the work that I do. The faculty are knowledgeable practitioners, not only in their fields but in distance learning methodologies as well. They are all extremely friendly, approachable, and encouraging. They all successfully build online communities, and the technical support, for anyone feeling that distance-learning might be daunting, was accessible and available. I couldn’t have picked a better program.
