Medical & Health Professions Education Master's Program Additional Information


Eastern Virginia Medical School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award the Doctor of Medicine degree, Masters' degrees, Doctoral degrees, and Certificates. Accredited by the Liaision Committee on Medical Education (LCME), EVMS provides health care for more than one quarter of Virginia's population as well as neighboring regions of North Carolina.

EVMS has 25 programs accredited by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

Definition of Full-Time Student

A student must maintain a coursework load considered "full-time" to continue receiving financial aid previously awarded. Considering the current curriculum, this will be 7.0 credit hours per semester.  


Once the semester begins the students will be notified of new course openings.  It is a requirement for all distance students to log into their new courses the first week of the course.  

Computer Standards

In order to participate in the Medical & Healthcare Profession Education Master's Program you are required to supply your own laptop computer and they must adhere to our current computer standards.
