Applicants can be considered for transfer into the second or third year of our curriculum only to fill vacancies that may arise with the withdrawal of previously enrolled students.
In general, all transfers must meet the requirements stated for general admissions. Only applicants who have completed one or more years in medical school accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) can be considered for advanced standing. Transfer applicants for both the second or third year of our curriculum must be currently enrolled in an AAMC-accredited medical school. Applicants applying for the third year must also take and pass Step I of the USMLE.
All applicants must have received a minimum of 100 semester hours of undergraduate work from an accredited college or university located in the United States or Canada and must include one year of biology, two years of chemistry (including organic chemistry), and one year of physics. (A lab component must accompany all courses listed above).
An official copy of MCAT scores is required for all applicants, as well as, official transcripts from each undergraduate college, and an up-to-date medical school transcript.
The deadline for transfer applications is April 1.
