School of Medicine Class of 2020 Reception

When: Friday, May 15, 2020, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

Where: Norfolk Waterside Marriott, 3rd Floor, Hampton Ballroom

Parking: Parking is available at Waterside garage, Main Street garage, or at several nearby City of Norfolk parking garages. View parking options and fees here. At times, a flat fee (cash only) is required upon entry. The Marriott is also easily accessible via The Tide, Norfolk’s light rail system. The MacArthur Square Station, servicing this venue, is located between Bank and Atlantic Streets on the east and west and between City Hall Avenue and Plume Street.

Tickets: To attend the School of Medicine Commencement Reception, a ticket for entry is required. Each graduate of the MD program is entitled to receive a total of 4 tickets (one for you and three tickets for guests). Children under the age of 5 do not require a ticket. All other guests require a ticket. Tickets will be available to reserve on our EVMS Commencement Week website the last week of March. 

You may RSVP for your tickets until Monday, April 27, 2020. The registration form will allow you to request additional tickets. Ticket requests will be processed on a first-requested basis, however, due to limited space, all requests for additional tickets may not be accommodated. We will notify graduates via email in early May if their request for tickets can be accommodated.

All graduates will receive their tickets at Commencement Rehearsal on Friday, May 15, 2020 at Norfolk Scope. In the event that you are excused from this mandatory event, you can collect your tickets at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott prior to the start of the event. 

Event Details: This event is a standing reception with limited seating, available on a first-come, first-served basis. A heavy hors d’oeuvres menu with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options will be provided. Each guest will receive a complimentary drink ticket, good for one alcoholic or two non-alcoholic beverages. A cash bar will be available for additional drink purchases.
