Adult and Pediatric Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery

The Adult and Pediatric Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship was founded in 1975 by Charlie and Pat Devine.  This two-year (optional three-year) program emphasizes basic research and female/pelvic reconstructive procedures in the first year, and advanced penile/ urethral reconstructive procedures in the second year.  The optional 3rd year is 80% research with minimal clinical responsibility. Due to the unique and high volume nature of this referral practice, fellowship clinical experience is significant while resident experience is not diminished.  Currently, there are 4 fellowship-trained pelvic reconstructive physicians on faculty.

The GU Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship is a participating SUFU (Society for Urodynamics and Female Urology) fellowship program and the American Urological Association matching program.
