Simulation in Medical Education Fellowship Overview

This one or two year fellowship in medical education and simulation will, through experiential, didactic, and formalized graduate education, provide the participant with the skills necessary to conceive, design, develop, implement, manage, and assess medical education programs utilizing medical simulation in their curricula.

The primary goal of the fellowship, sponsored by the EVMS department of Pediatrics, is to prepare the participant to enter the next phase of his or her academic career at a leadership level in medical education with expertise in simulation methodology. Skills attained during the fellowship will allow the graduate to assume a role as medical director or associate director of a simulation program or attain a similar leadership position within a medical undergraduate, residency, or fellowship educational program.
