36-Month Training Schedule

First Year:

During the first year, the fellow will divide their time working in various clinics and services:

  • Ultrasound - hands on training in targeted ultrasound and fetal echocardiography
  • High Risk - Fellow-run high risk clinic
  • Labor and Delivery - management of medical and surgical high risk pregnancies
  • OB Genetics - rotation with genetic counselors and perinatal/pediatric geneticists
  • Neonatal Intensive Care Units - rotation with neonatology group
  • OB Anesthesia - one on one rotation with obstetric anesthesiology
  • Intensive Care Unit – 4 week experience rotating on the service with hands-on experience
  • Research - protected time for research endeavors

Second Year:

During the second year, the fellow will spend 12 months in research

Third Year:

During the third year, the fellow will do four months in each of the following functioning in a supervisory role:

  • Labor and Delivery
  • High Risk Inpatient Clinic
  • Ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, and fetal echocardiography
